We humans are ruining our own environment. We faced a serious environmental ruin just 15 years ago as hundreds of years of over-farming took its toll on the ecosystem, making this once fertile land a degraded landscape.
This new documentary shows how an environmental restoration project allowed local people to have a better life.
Presenter John D. Liu has been visiting Chinese Loess Plateau area for the past 15 years and travels back to find surprising results from the project, which has transformed the once arid area that couldn't produce anything into a green environment full of life. It enabled farmers to work productively again.

"Hoping in changing climate", this environmental documentary uncovers a story of success and solution of the struggles that we're having right now with the climate changes.

15-year-old Michael Brewer burned over 65 percent of his body after being set on fire, allegedly by a group of teenagers.

Eyewitnesses said that Mendez used a lighter to set fire to Brewer after Jarvis allegedly poured alcohol over him. Bent allegedly encouraged the attack. Brewer jumped into a pool at his apartment complex to put out the flames.

Jeremy Jarvis was arrested as a juvenile after Brewer was burned and spent about 30 days in juvenile detention.

"It's been a roller coaster ride, the fear of the unknown," she said. "The first time he spoke to us was joyous but watching him struggle every single day ... I'm proud of him, I'm very, very proud of him, 'cause I don't think I could do what he's doing." said his mother, Valerie Brewer.

A 7-month-old baby girl who had been missing for days was found alive in a box underneath the bed of her baby sitter. The baby was carried to the early morning news conference. The sheriff of Washington County in rural northwest Florida, Bobby Haddock said that he would have more details on the charges against the baby's mother, Crystina Lynn Mercer, the sitter, Susan Baker, and her husband, James Baker.
The incident happened near Chipley in Florida's panhandle region near the Alabama state line. The baby was reported missing on Saturday morning by her mother. The baby's mother reported her missing Saturday morning.
